“Africa changes you forever, like nowhere on earth. Once you have been there, you will never be the same. But how do you begin to describe its magic to someone who has never felt it?”
– Brian Jackman
Wild and untamed, the continent of Africa holds a place near and dear to my heart. From my family in South Africa to my first big backpacking trip to Ghana at the age 19, a part of me has always been tied to this incredible part of the world. It is an area of the world that challenges travellers, pushing them out of their comfort zone. Home to some of the most amazing wildlife, unique cultural traditions and vast untamed landscape. Africa is sure to capture your heart and mind.
While it has been nearly 10 years since my last trip to this amazing part of the world. It is a continent that forced me to grow up while forever welcoming me home. Plans are in the works for a return trip sometime soon. Till then, check out some of the stories from my previous adventures in the incredible and wild continent of Africa.

“There is language going on out there – the language of the wild. Roars, snorts, trumpets, squeals, whoops, and chirps all have meaning derived over eons of expression… We have yet to become fluent in the language – and music – of the wild.” – Boyd Norton
